Five New Public EV Chargers Now Available in Evansville

Thanks to a $30,000 grant from GOEVIN and Drive Clean Indiana, the ECC has successfully completed the installation of five new Level 2 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. These chargers are now live and available for public use, helping expand EV charging access throughout the Evansville area.

Reliable public charging infrastructure is one of the most important factors in supporting the transition to electric vehicles. By increasing the number of convenient charging locations, these new stations help reduce range anxiety, make EV ownership more practical for residents and visitors, and encourage cleaner transportation choices. Expanding charging infrastructure also supports local economic development by making Evansville a more attractive destination for EV drivers while reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving local air quality.

The new charging stations are located at:

  • Back 40 Parking Lot

  • Mesker Park Zoo

  • Deaconess Aquatic Center

  • Swonder Ice Arena

  • Evansville Museum

Whether you're commuting, running errands, or visiting the area, these new charging stations provide convenient opportunities to recharge your vehicle at $0.38/kWh while supporting a cleaner, more sustainable Evansville.
